What Made Us Happy This Week

Hi Everyone

And Happy Saturday! In need of the sunshine to make a reappearance as it’s foggy and dank here this morning.

It’s been a lovely week and as always I’m happy to share it as part of the lovely Happy Days Linky with Katy and Sian.

Here’s what’s made us smile this week:

Happy Half Birthday!

Wow! The munchkin is six months old! I can’t believe how quickly this has come around. I am loving this age, he’s full of beans and smiles and his little personality is shining through. And there’s no crawling yet so I still have the added benefit of  being able to let him play on the floor quite happily.  I think back to those first couple of weeks after Josh was born and how hard I found it, the thought of getting to six months terrified me, I thought I’d never cope. But you learn so quickly with babies, your survival kicks in and your love for them gets you through those testing times.

Here comes the sun 

We decided to make the most of the sunshine last weekend and went for a long walk along the seafront. It was lovely and Josh had a great time looking around and taking in all the sights and sounds. We go on holiday to Cornwall next month and seeing lots of families having such a lovely time at the beach made me so excited to our first proper summer holiday as a family.

Days Out!

We went to see some family this week too and went out for some walks. I love taking Josh to the family farm – as you can see he’s perfected his tractor driving skills already!

New Shoes 

It’s June, therefore it’s summer, therefore it’s Wedges season!!! I loved these on first sight, and are a bargain from New Look! Of course as soon as I bought them the weather turned and it started to rain the next day!! I’m saving them for holiday to rock with a (most probably fake) tan!

Weaning Fun 

Weaning is going well and we’ve tried a few different things this week with Broccoli being a particular favourite! I was so impressed cause personally I hate the stuff. Next step is mixing up flavours and trying some finger foods so he starts getting used to stuff that’s a bit lumpier. I had someone really pressuring me to do baby led weaning this week, and although I’ll try a bit, I am happy giving him puress right now and he’s enjoying it so I’m not going to be pushed into trying something.

Amazing Comments 

I have been lucky enough to get some amazing comments this week but these too really made my absolute week. I love both Bridie (Bridie by the Sea) and Lucy at This Mums Life and I don’t think they realise how much their comments mean to me.

Bubbles 

Oh come on, you didn’t expect me to get to Friday and not have a glass of champagne did you! We used Joshs 6 months as an excuse 😉

It’s been a lovely week and I’m already looking forward to next week with Sam (hopefully) finishing his overtime work, we are taking Josh swimming, I’m getting my hair done and seeing friends for a catch up. I hope everyone has a lovely weekend and heres a happy quote to make you smile!  ❤
