The MADS – Best New Blog – Please Nominate me

Hi Everyone!

I’ve been seeing a lot of tweets about the upcoming MAD (Mums And Dads) Blogging Awards, part of the Tots 100 website –MAD Blog Awards. So I decided to have a read about them. There are so many blogs I love but of course like everyone, I have my favourites who I will certainly be nominating.

But I was really excited to see an award for Best New Blog, and I thought….  maybe I could try for a nomination. This award would celebrate any blogs that are 12 months old or less on the date of the awards, for which Beauty Baby and Me qualifies.

Obviously I’ve never put myself forward for anything like this before, but I would absolutely love to be nominated for this. So, why should you nominate and vote for me….

I am a really honest writer and I think that is something all my readers will agree with. I don’t hold back and I guess you could say I am quite an emotional writer; I wear my heart on my sleeve. But I think this is the beauty of my blog (no pun intended). I think it makes my readers resonate with me and identify with all the challenges that being a new mum brings. I always find it comforting to read someone is going through the same struggles or frustrations as me and its wonderful to think my writing helps others in the same way.

It sounds almost stupid but my blog means the world to me. It’s my second baby (after Josh of course). I am so proud of the comments I’ve received on my posts, and the support my amazing fellow bloggers have given me. I love being able to write about things that are important to me but also that other new Mums can identify with and find solace in. We’re all in this journey together, blogging and motherhood, so the support we give one another is so important.

I’ve been on a massive journey since starting my blog last summer, both in terms of writing and blogging and of course with the arrival of my beautiful baby son. My life has changed for the better; I got myself out of an dark period in my life, I spoke out about suffering with depression, I accepted the help given, I’ve now been blessed with a beautiful baby boy and I have an entirely positive and grateful outlook on life. And I think that is reflected in my style of writing. And in the spirit of sharing the blogging love, I can’t wait to nominate some of the fabulous bloggers I follow and support for these awards. There are some amazing writers out there and of course there are hundreds and hundreds of bloggers. Some may wonder why I’d put myself out there for a nomination at this early stage of my blogging journey, but, as I often say, life is short; you’ve got to go for what you want and sometimes put yourself out there for things you would dream to achieve!  Perhaps it is unrealistic but you never know!
